Raymond Bakame Mbabazi joined the services of Mountains of the Moon University in February 2012, and currently heads the Agriculture Department. Raymond is an Agricultural Engineer by training and has experience in the Identifying best agricultural management practices basing on the best water productivity values using AquaCROP and Climate models. He lectures course units of Agricultural Engineering nature in the School of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences.
He holds a Master of Science in Water Resources Engineering (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and Vrije Universiteit Brussels, Belgium), Master of Irrigation (Università degli Studi di Firenze, Italy), and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Agricultural Engineering (Makerere University, Uganda). His research interests are in the fields of Water Resources management, CropWater productivity in irrigated and rain-fed Agriculture, Climate change impact modelling on crop productivity, and Soil Water modelling for Irrigation scheduling.
