Phase II of the project started in 2022, the AER Phase II project will go further to oversee the implementation of the Master programme and strengthen participatory teaching, learning and research capacities.

The aim of the proposed project is strengthening higher education, research, and Science communication in Agroecology in the Rwenzori Region.
MMU is the lead partner, and it is working with Uganda Martys University, Ssesakawa Africa Association, and Boku which is the Austrian based partner.
It is still coordinated by Dr Violet Kisakye. It will end in 2025.
