Eng. Dr. Ben Manyindo

He has over 35 years of working experience in quality standards management, science, technology, and engineering fields, of which 22 years are in the area of standardization at national, regional, and international levels and 13 years in the field of education. During this period, he took up leadership roles at national, regional, and international levels as a technical expert or as a Member of the Executive Committee.
He served in various technical capacities at Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) from 1998, rising to the top where he served as Executive Director of UNBS from February 2012 to October 2020. Before that, he served as Lecturer and Senior Lecturer at Faculty of Technology of Makerere University and Uganda Polytechnic, Kyambogo. He retired from Public Service in October 2020.
Eng. Manyindo holds a Ph.D. (Industrial Engineering), from the University of New South Wales, Australia; and a Bachelor of Science (Mechanical Engineering) degree from Makerere University. He is a Member of Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers and a Registered Mechanical Engineer with the Uganda Engineers Registration Board.

In October 2019, Dr. Achanga was appointed Adjunct Professor of Higher Education Management at the Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM), India. From 2017, he was appointed as an Associate Fellow in the training of doctoral programmes at the University of the Western Cape, South Africa.
Professor Achanga holds a PhD in Manufacturing Systems; and an MSc. in Manufacturing Management and Information Systems, from Cranfield University-UK, a Bachelor of Business Information Technology from the University of Hull-UK, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from Canterbury Christ Church University, UK and has attended a number of continuous professional development trainings. Previously, Professor Achanga served as the Director of Quality Assurance and Accreditation at the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE), where he oversaw the licensure and establishment, planning, development, and strategic guidance of all Higher Education Training Institutions in Uganda. He worked at NCHE for over 12 years in various capacities, including institutional and programme accreditation, development of Minimum Standards, and the Monitoring and Evaluation of Higher Education Institutions, among others. Before joining NCHE, he was a Research Associate at the Institute for Manufacturing, School of Engineering, University of Cambridge-UK, where he led in managing of a £500 million DEFRA sponsored project for waste reduction in food processing SMEs in East Anglia. He was also an Industrial Fellow at Rolls-Royce Plc. Professor Achanga has authored a number of scholarly articles, with his ‘Critical Success Factor for Lean Manufacturing’, cited over 1,500 times.

Dr. Roselline has over 38 years of professional experience in Veterinarian/ Agricultural/ Rural Development. She served as the Country Director for Sasakawa Africa Association/ Sasakawa Global 2000 Uganda. She gained experience working with government Ministries and Agencies, such as the Ministry of Agriculture Animal Industry and Fisheries, the National Agricultural Advisory Services (NAADS), the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, and private sector organizations. She has worked with various donors, NGOs, and international agencies with whom she has had good relations and ably implemented numerous projects/programs.
Dr. Nyamutale holds a Master of Science in Management of Agricultural Knowledge Systems, from Wageningen Agricultural University, Netherlands; and a Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Medicine, from Makerere University.

Prof. Peter is a Mechanical Engineer and Professor at the College of Engineering, Design, Art, and Technology (CEDAT), Makerere University. As a Member of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, at Makerere University, his research interests are in Techno-Science studies, engineering mathematics, and Innovation Systems and Cluster Development.
He holds a Ph.D. in Technology from Makerere University; a Ph.D. in Techno-Science studies from Blekinge Institute of Technology, Sweden-BTH; a Master of Science in Engineering (Railway Mechanical Engineering), from Moscow Institute of Railway Transport, FUIPE. Eng. Prof. Peter Okidi-Lating is a registered Mechanical Engineer with the Uganda Engineers Registration Board. He is a Member of the Council of Muni University and the Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers.

He is a Commissioner in the Department of University Education and Training at MoES. Mr. Ssejjoba is the President of the Rotary Club of Kansanga and possesses vast experience with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry. He is a strong education professional with knowledge in Educational Leadership and Administration. Mr. Ssejjoba has previously worked as an Acting Principal Education Officer- Higher Education, a Senior Education Officer, and Senior Higher Education Officer- Higher Education at MoES.
He holds a Master’s in Higher Education/ Higher Education Administration from Uganda Management Institute; a Graduate Diploma in Leadership Development in ICT and the Knowledge Society, Educational Leadership and Administration, General of Dublin City University; and a Bachelor of Arts with Education of Makerere University.

Ms. Olivia Natwazagye

Ms. Natwazagye is a Senior State Attorney with the Attorney General’s Chambers, at the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs. At the Chambers, she, among others, advises on matters of Higher Education and played a pivotal role in drafting legal documents for the Government takeover of MMU and provided invaluable legal guidance that ensured successful transition of MMU from a private to a Public University.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws from Uganda Christian University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre.

Dr. Tusiime Stephen Asiimwe

Dr. Tusiime is a Member of the Taskforce (under the schedule of the University Secretary), that is tasked with operationalizing Bunyoro University as a Public University. He is currently the Director at Igara Secondary School. Among others, he previously served as the Principal of Uganda College of Commerce-Kabale between 2009 to 2021 and served as the Deputy Bursar at Kyambogo University between 2006 to 2009.
Dr. Tusime holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration specializing in Finance and Accounting from Commonwealth University- UK; a Master Class in e-learning and Digital Marketing from London Graduate School; PGD in Project Management from the Central Institute of Management (India); PGD Human Resource Management from Pondicerry University (India); Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Pune (India); Bachelor of Education (Accounting and Business Management), Makerere University; and a Diploma in Education (Accounting and Commerce), Makerere University.

Hon. Richard Rwabuhinga

Hon. Richard is the Chairperson (LC V) of Kabarole District Local Government, a position he has held since 2011. He is the President of the Uganda Local Governments’ Association (ULGA). He has previously served as a Teacher at Nyakasura School, a Minister of Education and Sports of the Tooro Kingdom Cultural Institution, and a District Councilor for Bukuuku Sub-County in Kabarole District. He was a Member of the Governing Council of the former Mountains of the Moon Public University.
Hon. Richard holds a Master’s in Education and Development from Uganda Martyrs University; a Bachelor of Education from Makerere University; and a Diploma in Education from the Institute of Teacher Education Kyambogo (ITEK).

Dr. Rwamigisa has over 27 years of experience in Public Service, and he is an Assistant Commissioner for Agricultural Extension Coordination, in the Department of Agricultural Extension and Skills Management, Directorate of Agricultural Extension Services, MAAIF. He is a Research Associate with the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI); Chairperson of the Advisory Board for Farm Radio International, Uganda Chapter; Visiting Scholar at the Institute of Agricultural Sciences (Hans-Rothenberg Institute), University of Hoffenheim, Germany.
He holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Extension Education from Makerere University; a Master of Science in Zoology from Makerere University; a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Makerere University; and a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science.

Mr. Betty Mujungu
Ms. Betty Tusiime Mujungu is a Member of Council Read More
She is a Ugandan broadcaster, passionate about women, and a political leader. She is the current (2021-2026) Woman Councilor, representing North Division, Fort-Portal City Council. She is also a member of the General Purpose Committee of Fort Portal City Council. She has previously served as Deputy Speaker of the former Fort-Portal Municipal Council, 2016–2021. She is a co-founder of the Pendo Foundation for Social Transformation, a Community Based Organization in Kabarole District that empowers girls and women. She is the Author of, “ENU ERIBA NSI?”, a Rutoro playbook, recommended by the Ministry of Education and Sports for Uganda Advanced Level (UACE) under local languages (Runyoro–Rutooro) 2020-2024.
Ms. Mujungu holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication degree from Mount. Kenya University.

Mrs. Christine M. Tibakunirwa

She is the Presidential Advisor on Rwenzori Affairs, and the National Treasurer of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), Women’s League. Mrs. Muhindo has vast experience in issues such as women and girl-child education, political mobilization, financial accounting, and management. She was also a Member of the Governing Council of MMU private. Mrs. Muhindo is passionate about Education Policy, Planning and Management, Conflict Management Resolution, and Politics.
She holds a Master of Education Policy, Planning, and Management, from Kyambogo University; a Bachelor of Business Education from Kyambogo University; and a Diploma in Education Planning and Management from Kyambogo University.
