Ronald Buwa is an agricultural researcher and crop scientist specializing in sustainable agriculture, soil fertility management, crop improvement, and community-based agricultural innovation. He holds a Master of Science in Crop Science and a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from Makerere University.
He is currently pursuing a PhD in Agriculture and Community Innovation at Bishop Stuart University (On Track), with research interests focused on improving crop productivity, sustainable soil management, climate-resilient agriculture, and innovations that support smallholder farming communities.
His research contributions include studies on biochar and manure applications for improved crop growth, soil fertility management among smallholder farmers, genomic approaches for drought tolerance in common beans, and adoption of improved agronomic practices in Uganda.
