Welcome to the Faculty of Business and Management Sciences (FoBMS)!
The Government of Uganda developed a Vision 2040 document to transform Uganda from a predominantly peasant and low-income country to a competitive upper-middle-income status country. To contribute to the achievement of this goal, the FoBMS has structured its activities in teaching, research and community engagement to align with the general objectives of the National Development Plans, guided by the University Strategic Plan.
The FoBMS is a vibrant Faculty made up of three fully functional Departments offering a variety of competitive undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The Departments are; 1) Business Administration, 2) Banking and Finance and 3) Management Sciences.
The FoBMS equips its students with critical thinking abilities and skills to solve 21st-century problems. The job market today is an ever-changing one; it is only such skills that will enable graduates to remain relevant. In addition, the FoBMS emphasises the role and purpose of innovation and entrepreneurship to its students to enable them to counter the unemployment problem in the country. Our graduates have gone on to acquire employment in prestigious institutions, both locally and internationally, and establish successful businesses, while others have gone on to pursue further studies in world-renowned Universities.
