Much of my experience has been in the media world as well as Finance. I understand the social value of these fields and  my experience in the media world spans over 19 years, ten of which have been working with Mountains of the Moon University as the Radio Manager. I have held other assignments such as chairperson Media and Publicity for a number of graduation events, master of ceremonies in and outside campus for most of the university events as well as other corporate events outside the university.  As a media personality, I have gained a wide variety of both transferable and specific skills, which relate to working in media and public relations.

My responsibilities have included designing radio programmes and developing programme content, developing the radio management policy, recruiting, training/coaching and mentoring radio staff,  helping to determine the objectives of the station, and communicating these objectives effectively to all staff, providing leadership and motivation to ensure they are met, to ensure the smooth running of the station, leading the team and coordinating the activities of all the disciplines within the station, including the development of multi-platform content, as well as keeping focus of resources, establishing the station’s culture, and managing staff welfare and morale and revamping radio stations.

I have worked closely with professionals in different faculties to help them prepare and use the radio to fulfill their community outreach and community engagement mandate. Through experience, I have learnt to build strong relationships with all departments and faculties in this university. I have the ability to multi-task, work well within a team as well as to build and lead a team. I have the ability to do this though my training and work experience.
