Project Period
The MSc thesis component is for 12 months, starting in 2025. The overall multicenter project timeline is not fully specified, but involves two rounds of recruitment across nine sentinel sites in Rwanda, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

Project Leadership
The project is a multicenter collaboration involving the Department of Public Health at Mountains of the Moon University (MMU) in Fort Portal, Uganda; the Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI) at Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda; and the Institute of International Health (IIH) at Charité Center for Global Health, Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Germany. The successful MSc candidate will be based at MMU Department of Public Health and Fort Portal Regional Referral Hospital Molecular Laboratory.
