All applicants are required to attach the following documents on Online applications:

A) A-LEVEL ENTRY (S.6. LEAVERS)

  1. Copies of UCE & UACE Result Slips
  2. Copies of UCE & UACE Certificates (Except the 2024 UACE candidates)
  3. Copy of the Former School Identity Card, National Identity Card, Driving License, or Birth Certificate
  4. Proof of Application Fees payment

NOTE: Holders of Certificates awarded by Foreign examination bodies are required to present a “Letter of Equivalence” from the Uganda National Examinations Board.

B) OTHER SCHEMES (HOLDERS OF OTHER CERTIFICATES/ DIPLOMAS)

All applicants are required to attach the following documents on Online applications:

  1. Copies of UCE Result Slip, and other Academic Results Slips/Transcripts, or UACE Result Slips
  2. Copies of UCE Certificates, and other Certificate held, or UACE Certificate
  3. Copy of the Former School Identity Card, National Identity Card, Driving License, or Birth Certificate
  4. Proof of Application Fees payment

NOTE: Holders of Certificates/ Diplomas awarded by Foreign examination bodies, or institutions are required to present a “Letter of Equivalence” from the Uganda National Examinations Board/National Council for Higher Education.

C) POSTGRADUATE STUDIES

All applicants are required to attach the following documents on Online applications:

  1. Copies of UCE & UACE Result Slips
  2. Copies of UCE & UACE Certificates
  3. Copies of Academic Transcripts/Result Slips, (for Certificate programs, Diplomas, Degrees, etc)
  4. Copies of Academic Certificates (for Certificate programs, Diplomas, Degrees, etc)
  5. Copy of the Former School Identity Card, National Identity Card, Driving License, or Birth Certificate
  6. Proof of Application Fees payment

NOTE: Holders of Certificates/ Diplomas/Degrees awarded by Foreign examination bodies, or institutions are required to present a “Letter of Equivalence” from the Uganda National Examinations Board/National Council for Higher Education.

D) PhD ENTRY APPLICANTS

  1. Research Synopsis
  2. Three (3) Letters of referees (two academic and one professional)
  3. Master’s Degree Transcript and Certificate 
  4. Undergraduate Degree Transcript or its equivalent plus Certificate 
  5. Other Degree (where applicable)
  6. Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (A-Level) results slip/certificate
  7. Uganda Certificate of Education (O-Level) results slip/certificate
  8. Birth Certificate or National ID

How to Apply

Creating an Account (Sign Up)

  1. Click on “Sign Up Now” if you do not have an account.
  2. Enter the required details.
  3. A password will be sent to your email and phone number via SMS.
  4. If you do not receive the SMS, check your email.
  5. Log in using your email or phone number and the password provided.
  6. You will be prompted to change your password to one you can easily remember.

Logging In

  • If you already have an account, click “Login”.
  • Enter your email or phone number and password.
  • If you have previously applied, your past applications will appear on the dashboard (right-hand side).

Starting Your Application

  1. Click on “Undergraduate and Postgraduate”.
  2. Choose the appropriate application scheme.

Understanding Application Schemes

Choose the scheme that matches your qualifications:

  • PhD Entry Scheme: For applicants with a relevant Master’s degree applying for PhD programmes.
  • Postgraduate Entry Scheme: For applicants applying for postgraduate diplomas or Master’s programmes.
  • A-Level Entry Scheme: For applicants who have completed the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) and are applying for Diploma, Higher Education Access Certificate (HEAC), or Bachelor’s programmes.
  • Diploma Entry Scheme: For applicants with a recognized diploma qualification applying for Bachelor’s programmes.
  • Certificate Entry Scheme: For applicants with a certificate qualification applying for Diploma programmes.

Ensure you select the correct scheme to avoid delays or rejection of your application.

Filling the Application Form

You will be required to complete the following sections:

a) Biodata

  • Enter your personal details accurately.
  • Ensure names match your academic documents.

b) Programme Choices

  • Select your preferred programme(s).
  • Ensure you meet the minimum requirements for each programme.

c) Academic Qualifications

  • Enter your O-Level and A-Level results (where applicable).
  • Provide correct index numbers, years of sitting, and grades.

Submitting the Application

  • Review all entered information carefully.
  • Click “Submit Form” once all required fields are completed.
  • Ensure there are no errors before submission.

Uploading Required Documents

  1. Click on “Attach Files”.
  2. Upload all required documents (e.g., academic certificates, transcripts, identification documents).
  3. Ensure documents are clear and legible.
