Fort Portal is a nice City with cool environment and a beautiful landscape. The natives are good and friendly and I’m feeling comfortable already. On the other hand, Mountains of the Moon University (Lake Saaka campus) which is in the beautiful Fort portal City is a serine and cool environment with an aesthetic landscape all over. Both teaching and non-teaching staffs, students, are very friendly people who have
good interpersonal human relations. MMU is a perfect academic institution to be in so far with several academic oriented facilities for effective and efficient quality teaching, learning and practical impartation as well as application of scientific knowledge to solve serious
constraints in Africa and worldwide.
I have already been exposed to different outreach workshops by my MMU supervisor (Dr. Jacob Kaingo) and some IITA officials in a workshop on "Strategic development of coffee production stepwise approaches” for coffee farmers and extension officers in Kasese district,Kabarole district, and karangura Sub county. During the workshop, I had an in-depth insight on the topic "safeguarding carbon sinks and their sequestration with agro-tech solutions in western Uganda” which was presented by Dr. Jacob Kaingo.
My MMU supervisor (Dr Jacob Kaingo) also took me along with some IITA officials for demonstrational field visits where I was exposed to practical good demo fields visit and I was very grateful for such knowledge impartation and acquisition.
