Mobility Scholarships Launch under MAINSTREAM Project for 2025/2026

The MAINSTREAM Project (Mobility 4 Agricultural International Networks Supporting Thematic Resilience and Enhancing Adaptation and Mitigation) has opened its second call for short-term scholarships aimed at enhancing agricultural education, climate resilience, and skills across Africa. Funded through the EU’s Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme, the initiative supports Master’s students (up to 6 months), PhD candidates (up to 12 months), and traineeships (up to 3 months in industry).

Scholarships are available to two target groups:

  • Group I: Students from consortium partner institutions (Uganda, Kenya, Togo, Senegal, South Africa, and Ethiopia), eligible to move to partner universities in different countries.

  • Group II: Students from other African universities seeking study or research mobility in consortium institutions.

The call aims to promote inclusive, south–south academic exchanges and support underrepresented groups, particularly women. Eligible applicants must meet admission criteria and complete the online application, a CV, and a 1–2 page concept document. The application deadline is 17 October 2025 (midnight GMT+1).
