Has over 35 years of working experience in quality standards management, science, technology, and engineering fields, of which 22 years are in the area of standardization at national, regional, and international levels and 13 years in the field of education. During this period, he took up leadership roles at national, regional, and international levels as a technical expert or as a Member of the Executive Committee.

He served in various technical capacities at Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) from 1998, rising to the top where he served as Executive Director of UNBS from February 2012 to October 2020. Before that, he served as Lecturer and Senior Lecturer at Faculty of Technology of Makerere University and Uganda Polytechnic, Kyambogo.  He retired from Public Service in October 2020.

Eng. Manyindo holds a Ph.D. (Industrial Engineering), from the University of New South Wales, Australia; and a Bachelor of Science (Mechanical Engineering) degree from Makerere University. He is a Member of Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers and a Registered Mechanical Engineer with the Uganda Engineers Registration Board.
