Dr. Abudul Mahajubu is a lecturer of history in the Department of Humanities under the faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FHSS).  With over a decade of teaching experience as a lecturer of history, Dr. Mahajubu continues to impact society through sharing his intellectual expertise in teaching, research, and community engagement for sustainable development. His professional expertise stems from that of a well-trained graduate teacher with a philosophy of nurturing and grooming learners with both critical and practical study skills for intellectual growth and sustainability.

  • Presented a conference paper titled “Being a Nubi in Idi Amin’s Uganda: Beyond Military Mercenaries from 1971-1979”(via Zoom) at the 2021 graduate students conference organized by Nicholas D. Chabraja Center for Historical Studies at Northwestern University under the theme “HISTORY OF THE SELF.”
  • Presented a conference paper at the Makerere University 2021 Virtual Humanities Conference titled“Identity at the Crossroads: The Nubi’s Quest for Repatriation” held between 11th-13th August 2021.
  • Gave a keynote speech at Makerere University, College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHUSS) workshop for prospective 2022 graduate applicants on the 19th of March 2022 under the theme Managing Ph.D. Timelines: How I Completed My Ph.D. in Record Time of 3 years.
