Assistant Lecturer

Jerry Ceasor Togo is a dedicated Ugandan professional in Tourism and Hospitality Management with over a decade of experience in academia, vocational training, project management, and research. He currently serves as an Assistant Lecturer at Mountains of the Moon University, where he has been instrumental in shaping the tourism and hospitality curriculum, mentoring students, and supervising both research and internship activities. As Head of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management, he has overseen the growth of certificate, diploma, and degree programs, playing a key role in curriculum development and program accreditation.

Jerry’s commitment to vocational excellence is reflected in his role as a Lead Trainer with Rwenzori Tourism Academy and Eye Opener Works, where he implemented the Ukarimu curriculum to upskill learners in key hospitality trades. He also served as Project Manager for the Enabel-funded Hospitality Skilling Project, successfully training over 100 in-service workers in the Rwenzori-Albertine region, even amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition to his academic and vocational contributions, Jerry has a strong background in field research. He has worked with respected organizations such as Malaria Consortium, UNDP/UNCDF, and the Office of the Prime Minister, supporting research design, data collection, and quality assurance in multiple social development projects across Uganda.

Jerry holds a Master’s Degree in Management (Tourism Major) from Hebei University in China and a Bachelor’s Degree in Vocational Studies with Education from Kyambogo University. He further holds certifications in proposal writing, GIS, SPSS, curriculum development, and gender-responsive pedagogy, among others. A lifelong educator and trainer, Jerry is passionate about youth empowerment, sustainable tourism, and practical learning that bridges academic knowledge with real-world application.
