Moses Asiimwe

Teaching Assistant

Moses Asiimwe is a public health scientist and clinical researcher with experience in infectious diseases, microbiology, and epidemiology. He holds an MSc in Microbiology, a Master of Public Health (MPH), and a BSc in Nursing. Moses has contributed to research on sepsis, antimicrobial resistance, Ebola and Marburg virus trials, outbreak preparedness, and blood safety in Uganda. He is an active collaborator on the Global Burden of Disease study at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, University of Washington.

He has played key roles in clinical trial management, clinical study coordination, and quality compliance, and has led projects focusing on improving treatment uptake, evaluating health interventions, and optimizing infectious disease isolation unit management. He is passionate about bridging laboratory science, community health, and clinical care.
