Ms. Restetuta Ninsiima is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management at Mountains of the Moon University, Uganda. She holds a Bachelor of Catering and Hotel Management from Makerere University Business School (MUBS) and a Master of Science in Tourism Management from Hebei University, China. She is passionate about preparing graduates who can contribute to the sustainable growth of the tourism industry through innovation, professionalism, and responsible practice. Her work combines teaching, research, student mentorship, and community engagement to promote excellence in tourism education.
Her research interests lie in sustainable tourism, tourism product development, and tourism marketing. She is particularly interested in exploring how innovative tourism products, effective destination marketing strategies and sustainable management practices can enhance destination competitiveness while conserving natural and cultural resources and improving the livelihoods of local communities.
As an emerging researcher, Ms. Ninsiima is committed to generating practical, evidence-based knowledge that addresses contemporary challenges in the tourism sector. She values interdisciplinary collaboration and seeks to build strong partnerships between academia, industry, government, and communities to advance sustainable tourism development. Through her teaching and research, she aspires to contribute to policies and practices that promote inclusive, resilient, and globally competitive tourism destinations.
