Born on 10th January 1981, Rodgers Mutyebere is a Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the Faculty of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences. He holds a PhD in Bioscience Engineering (Agricultural and Resource Economics) from KU Leuven Belgium. He obtained a Master of Science in Agricultural Economics from Makerere University Uganda and Bachelor of Vocational Studies in Agriculture with Education from Kyambogo University Uganda. Rodgers has over 18 years of teaching, research, community engagement at university level. He has several research publications in international peer reviewed journals, mainly on knowledge systems, farmer perceptions and their effect on the adoption of climate resilient nature-based solutions. Rodgers has a wide experience in quantitative data processing, and analysis with a strong bias in econometric approaches and Stata data analysis software. He also conducted several consultancy activities on the effectiveness of audio-media in enhancing farmers’ knowledge and financial literacy skills. He was also involved in the baseline survey to assess the Climate Change Vulnerability Assessment and adoption of Smart Agriculture, and assessing the economic feasibility of Bird-Friendly Certification, Eco-technology and Eco-tourism businesses in the Rwenzori region, Uganda.
