Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Finance & Administration

You are most welcome to the website of the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Finance and Administration. This Office supports the Vice Chancellor in executing his duties and, in that capacity, oversees the financial and administrative functions of the University. We are mandated to provide strategic leadership and planning that advance the University’s mission and development agenda. Our responsibilities include the management of the University’s finances, budgeting processes, resource mobilisation, human resources, quality assurance, and facilities management.

Strategically, we are working together to elevate Mountains of the Moon University (MMU) from Good to Great. A truly great MMU is one that makes a distinctive, long-lasting impact and consistently delivers superior performance to its students, stakeholders, and the broader community. We aspire to cultivate a university that excels in learning and student experience, produces world-class research, and meaningfully contributes to the social and economic transformation of the society we serve.

Our vision is to remain the first-choice university for students, employers, professional bodies, civic organisations, and other partners while engaging with them creatively and effectively to meet their needs. We look forward to a future where MMU is larger, more resilient, and more sustainable, with strong emphasis on professional disciplines, research-informed teaching, and the delivery of transformative, research-led learning experiences.

We aim for our students to develop a deep, informed understanding of their disciplines or professional fields; to challenge existing principles and practices; and to think independently, analytically, and creatively. We encourage them to appreciate perspectives beyond their immediate fields and to make meaningful connections across disciplines.

For our staff, we envision a community of innovative, enterprising, and professionally outstanding individuals who are dedicated to enabling students and partners to realise their ambitions. Our staff are expected to deliver high-quality teaching, develop and review academic programmes, and introduce new courses where necessary. They also pursue independent or collaborative research which is often multidisciplinary and involving inter-university or international partnerships.

The communities we serve should be positively shaped by the clear, measurable impact of our graduates and our institutional engagement on their intellectual, social, cultural, and economic development.

The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Finance and Administration, remains fully committed to ensuring the efficient and effective use of resources to support the University’s academic, operational, and strategic goals.

We welcome your feedback and invite you to share your thoughts and suggestions on how we can continue improving our services to the University community.
