It is the administrative center for the control of records, documents, and information required by the university for the operation of its work; thus, it forms the institutional memory that is created as a result of staff and stakeholders creating, receiving, and documenting functions, activities, and transactions carried out in pursuit of the vision, mission, and objectives of Mountains of the Moon University.
Summarily, the Registry Unit receives, processes, and distributes information; ensures that information is availed to authorized users promptly; classifies, indexes, and files records; does opening and closing of files; ensures the security of records/ information/ documents; and ensures that Records Management procedures, practices and standards are adhered to.
As the university continues to grow, the Registry Unit intends to expand by opening faculty registries to cater to the ever-increasing volume of records and timely access to records by authorized users. These Registries will work to ensure the integrity of academic processes, the proper management of student information, and strict adherence to institutional procedures and regulations. We envision ongoing development that aligns with emerging records management needs and technological advancements, and aim to introduce and strengthen digital record-management systems, streamline workflows, and adopt innovative tools that enhance efficiency and user experience. Our long-term goal is to evolve into a fully modernized digital Registry Unit that supports strategic decision-making while offering seamless services to the entire university community and stakeholders.
