Dr. Emmanuel Kimera, PhD, MPH, BSc. Ed, is the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Senior Lecturer in the Department Public Health at Mountains of the Moon University, Uganda. His research interests include adolescent sexual and reproductive health, reproductive autonomy, HIV/AIDS, mental health, and implementation science. He has extensive experience in quantitative and qualitative research and has collaborated with local and international universities and agencies in the field of Public Health. Dr. Kimera has published widely in public health and is committed to strengthening health systems, mentoring future health professionals, and generating evidence to improve the health and well-being of adolescents and communities in low-resource settings.

Dr. Emmanuel Kimera holds a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Behavioral Social Science Research from the College of Health Sciences, Makerere University, Uganda; a PhD in Social Health Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium; a Master of Public Health from Makerere University; and a Bachelor of Science with Education from Makerere University. His multidisciplinary training spans public health, social health and behavioral sciences, education, and implementation research, providing a strong foundation for teaching, research, and academic leadership.
