I am a Public Health professional with 11 years of public health research and teaching at University level. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Science Education (Biology major) and a Master of Public Health (MPH), both from Mbarara University of Science and Technology, Uganda. Having trained as a secondary school science teacher and Public Health professional, I am now directing my research career  in school health, with my doctorial study currently focusing on the mental health of in-school adolescents.

My  interests are  in epidemiology, biostatistics, maternal and child health and school health. As a life long learner, I have  studied several courses on Coursera to improve my qualitative research skills as I have over time appreciated mixed method approaches to research.  In 2015 and 2017 respectively, I attended training in ‘Advanced Health Economics and Economic Analysis’ and ‘Advanced Epidemiologic Methods’ from the Institute of Tropical Medicine and International Health, Charité Universitätsmedizin, Berlin

Through graduate training and supervision efforts, I have co-authored a number of publications, including one as first author. My goal now is to strengthen my research skills with a focus on School Health.
