The Chancellor, University Council, Management, together with the entire community of Mountains of the Moon University, hereby convey heartfelt condolences to the Queen Mother, the Batebe, Royal Family, the people of Tooro Kingdom, and the Nation at large, on the passing of His Majesty, Dr. Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukiidi IV.
Mountains of the Moon University (MMU), as an institution deeply rooted in the Tooro Kingdom, joins the Kingdom and Uganda in mourning a distinguished cultural leader. The reign of Dr. Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukiidi IV, shaped the history and identity of the University from commencement, in 2004. The passing on, of His Majesty, is indeed, a profound loss for MMU, the Kingdom, its cultural institutions, and everyone whose life he touched.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Queen Mother, the Batebe, the Royal Family, and the people of Tooro, during this difficult time. Throughout this difficult time, as a University we stand in solidarity with the Royal Family, the people of Tooro, and Uganda, sharing in this grief and May Almighty God grant the Queen Mother, the Batebe, the Royal Family, and the people of Tooro Kingdom, and the entire nation strength, comfort, and peace.
