Eight Students from the Faculty of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences of Mountains of the Moon University were on Sunday 28th April 2025 flagged off by the Dean of Faculty, Assoc.Prof. Joshua Wesana to the University of Applied Sciences in Triesdolf, Germany.
The students will participate in an International Summer Program in the Field of Agriculture, Food and Nutrition from 28th April 2025 to 31st July 2025.
The students will be exposed to the modern Agricultural, food and farming industry in German and this will help them gain profound insight into current trends and developments.
According to Assoc. Prof. Joshua Wesana, the Summer School will help these students to develop their professional and Practical skills to make the needed contribution to the development of the Agri-food sector in Uganda.
“This summer school is detrimental for our students because it will help our students be flexible, open minded and capable of working in diverse environments. Also, when our students get exposed to how other places approach Education, work and life, it will give them new ideas and insights,” he explained.
Mwangushya Christopher one of the students who left for the Summer Program appreciated the Management of Mountains of the Moon University for the opportunity accorded to them.
“We appreciate the Management of Mountains of the Moon University for making this exchange Program possible. We are hopeful that it will improve our learning experiences and the exposure will boost our employability chances,” he said.
According to the Deputy Vice Chancellor in charge of Academic Affairs Prof. John .M.Kasenene, Mountains of the Moon University is committed to fostering a Global Academic Environment that enhances Education, Research and community Engagement.
