On 7th October 2025, Mountains of the Moon University hosted a dissemination and sensitization workshop for Western Uganda organized by the Network for Education and Multidisciplinary Research Africa. (NEMRA). The event brought together representatives from universities across Western Uganda including Uganda Pentecostal University, Rwenzori International University, Mbarara University of Science and Technology, Divine International University, and Finns Medical University.
The workshop provided a platform for participants to share experiences, discuss challenges, and outline strategies for the improvement of NEMRA. Key areas of focus included; establising a research and innovation academy to coordinate research and their research products, research capacity building, innovation development, and knowledge sharing.
