Honourable Betty Tusiime Mujungu is a Member of the University Council representing Fort Portal Tourism City.
She is a Ugandan broadcaster, passionate about women, and a political leader. She is the current (2021-2026) Woman Councilor, representing North Division, in Fort-Portal City. Hon. Mujungu is the Speaker of the Fort Portal City Council and a Member on the General Purpose Committee of the City Council. She has previously served as Deputy Speaker of the former Fort-Portal Municipal Council, 2016–2021. She is a co-founder of the Pendo Foundation for Social Transformation, a Community Based Organization in Kabarole District that empowers girls and women.
