It enables Open Distance and eLearning (ODeL) for flexible education, equipping students with essential skills for tech-oriented job markets. The Directorate of ICT at the university provides this core service, supported by robust ICT infrastructure. ICT Helpdesk

The ICT Helpdesk (IHD) at DICT ensures smooth tech operations through issue resolution, including troubleshooting, remote, and on-site support. IHD manages help desk tickets by logging, prioritizing, and escalating them. The IHD team assists users with password resets, software installation, and ICT guidance and training. They also monitor and maintain systems for optimal performance, provide hardware and software support, and address user ICT inquiries, ensuring a seamless tech experience for all.

Network Services

DICT also ensures seamless digital infrastructure by managing wired and wireless connections, network hardware, and software. The unit ensures robust network security, support data transfer and communication, and resolve connectivity issues. Our team also facilitates academic and administrative functions by providing high-speed, secure internet access, continuously monitoring and upgrading the network to meet the needs of students, faculty, and staff.

ICT Planning & Maintenance

Within this docket, DICT ensures efficient technology operations by strategizing IT infrastructure development, managing budgets, and coordinating projects. We schedule and perform routine maintenance, update hardware and software, and monitor system performance. DICT also has the mandate to evaluate new technologies, ensure compliance with IT policies, and support academic and administrative needs; guaranteeing a reliable and secure IT environment for students, faculty, and staff.

Web & Digital Services

DICT manages and maintains the MMU’s online presence, ensuring accessible, user-friendly, and up-to-date websites. The Directorate develops and implements web content, supports the Marketing and Public Relations unit in digital marketing efforts, and enhancing online communication. DICT also integrates digital tools for academic and administrative use, provides technical support for web-related issues, and ensures the security and performance of the university’s digital platforms.

Mentoring & Internships
