The Vice Chancellor, and members of Top University Management, Mountains of the Moon University (MMU) held a meeting at Lake Saaka Campus with a team from UGent University Belgium and Deroose Plants, a private tissue culture Biotechnology company, to discuss possible collaboration involving MMU, UGent and Triesdorf University, Germany. The UGent team included; Prof. Xavier Gellynck, Prof. Guido Vanhuylenbroeck, Prof. Stefaan Werbrouck, and Dr. Lucas Vanhaelewyn.
Prof. Wilson Musinguzi Babu updated the meeting on the progress of development of a Joint PhD programme between MMU and UGent University.
Finally, the MMU team and the National Enterprise Corporation (NEC) construction company updated the meeting on progress of the Biotechnology Tissue Culture Laboratory construction, and concluded with a Joint Technical Site visit. The UGent team applauded MMU leadership for the great work done and committed to explore more opportunities for continued collaboration in the near future.
