The University Council on June 1st 2023, held a meeting with the Top University Management, Deans, Directors and Heads of Departments with purpose of the meeting being: to welcome and interface with the newly deployed staff and share with them the expectations of the University Council; to offer an opportunity for management to input on the best way forward in attaining the mission and vision of MMU; to identify the potential sources of risks to the University and offer mitigation plans; and to receive feedback from stakeholders on the work of the Council.
The Chairperson University Council Eng. Dr. Ben Manyindo was happy that the meeting had taken place, he congratulated those that had succeeded in the process of staff recruitment. He assured staff that the University Council will enable everyone enjoy their work through related policies.
Eng. Dr. Ben Manyindo led the meeting through an exercise of enlisting risks and possible mitigation measures and this was done by all members. He then administered the Question and Answer session which was done successfully.
The Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pius Coxwell Achanga thanked the Chairperson Council Eng. Dr. Ben Manyindo for exercising his leadership skills and ably pushing the cause of the University Council. He thanked him for doing a good job in directing the University in achieving its Mission.
