Dr. Tusiime Stephen Asiimwe is a Ministerial Appointee to Senate and he represents Senate on the University Council. He is the Chairperson of the Finance, Planning, Investment, and Development Committee of Council.

Dr. Tusiime is a Member on the Taskforce (under the schedule of the University Secretary), appointed by the Honorable Minister of Education and Sports to operationalize Bunyoro University as a Public University. He is a Director at Igara Secondary School.

He previously served as the Principal of Uganda College of Commerce-Kabale and the Deputy Bursar at Kyambogo University.
