Mwangaza African Revolutionary Study Groups Launched at MMU

The Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs (Special Duties) and the Chairperson, African Revolutionary Study Groups Mr. David K. Mafabi has officially launched the Mwanganza African Revolutionary Groups at Mountains of the Moon University with an intention of rectifying the “Ideological Disorientation” that has bedeviled Africa’s development. This was done on 9th September 2022 at the MMU Main Hall, Lake Saaka Campus.

Mr. Mafabi said Mwangaza has a vision of having a consolidated and critical thought on the challenges and needs of the struggle for the fundamental unity and advancement of the African people.

The Mission of Mwangaza is to encourage and enable the growth and multiplication of African Revolutionary Study Groups committed to the fundamental unity and social-economic transformation of Uganda and mother Africa.

Mwanganza is a Kiswahili word that means “Brightness or Light”

Mr. Mafabi was flanked by the Resident City Commissioner Fort Portal City, Mr. Angalia Kasigwa Gordon, and the District Police Commander Fort Portal City Central Senior Superintendent of Police Denis Odonth among others.

The launch was attended by MMU Staff, MMU student leadership and students.  Other guests from outside Mountains of the Moon University included cultural, religious and community leaders.

Mwangaza deliberately targets young people, business people, entrepreneurs, the corporate class, Media, Industrialists, the intelligentsia, public servants, political leaders, community leaders etc. of all generations and of all political persuasions.

Mr. Mafabi explained that Mwangaza shall provide an e-learning platform and space for compatriots; carry out field outreach work – to complement the e-learning platform; avail online reference literature, books, audios and videos; willing compatriots shall enroll online for a 12 months program of online study. Compatriots with more private concerns views and questions regarding Mwangaza shall email them to mwangaza73@gmail.com.

In other news, on the same day, the MMU Human Resource Directorate was involved in a one-training of Top University Management, Deans and Heads of Departments in performance management.

The training was led by the Principal Human Resource Officer of Kyambogo University Mr. Bazirio Nabuto.
