Dr. Nimusima is a distinguished Marketing and human resource academic expert with a truck record in research, teaching, and community engagement. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Marketing, an MBA in Marketing, MBA in HR, Post Graduate Diploma in Education and BBA in Marketing.

With over 17 years of experience in academia, Dr. Nimusima has made significant contributions to the field. As a prolific researcher, Dr. Nimusima has published 16 articles in peer-reviewed journals, showcasing a deep understanding of marketing and human resource system innovation. These publications have not only expanded the academic arena but have also influenced business policy and practice.

Besides research, Dr. Nimusima has consistently been a professional educator. Serving as a lecturer and research supervisor, he has inspiringly mentored quite a number of students, many of whom have gone on to excel in their careers.

Beyond teaching and research roles Dr. Nimusima is not only a contributor but also a gatekeeper of academic research quality. As a reviewer for reputable journals, he has played a vital role in maintaining the rigor and excellence of academic research in the field of management generally.

Over years, Pereez’s research interest has not been constant. For example, my first article publication in 2016 is in the area of employee motivation and productivity With co-authors, Nathan Karuhanga and Dative Mukarutesi,  we published a book chapter in a book volume titled “Rwanda Handbook of Economic and Social Policy” edited by Professor Almas Heshmati in 2018 With co-authors, Karuhanga Nathan, Mukarutesi Dative,Gasana Charles, Kampire Charity, and Turyamushanga Labson, we investigated the Role of Positioning Strategy on Market Performance of Soft Drink Manufacturing Enterprises which was published in 2020 as a book chapter in a book titled “Rwandan Economy at the Crossroads of Development: Key Macroeconomic and Microeconomic Perspectives” edited by Gouranga G. Das Rukundo Bosco Johnson With co-authors, Nuwagaba, A. Tuhirirwe, J. Karuhanga, N. Kamau, A. K., we studied Quality, price and competition strategy effects on performance of soft drink enterprises which was published as an article in 2021 With co-authors, Asiimwe, H., Nomugisha, M., Kyabarongo, B. & Rwakihembo, J. we conducted a study on Price Wars and Sales Performance at Century Bottling Company Ltd which was published as an article in 2022 With co-authors, Kamukama, N., Kalibwani, R. & Rwakihembo, J. we studied interactive marketing practices of soft drink manufacturing enterprises which was published as an article 2022. With co-authors, Tashobya,C., Mugabe,R., Begumisa,B., and Rwakihembo,J. we studied Job Satisfaction and training of employees at Mbarara University of Science and Technology and published it in 2022. With co-authors, Rwakihembo, J, Aryatwijuka,W, & Kalinda, P.  we studied Corporate Board Leadership Structure and Financial Performance of Private Limited Firms which was published in 2023. With co-authors, Rwakihembo, J, Dr. Aryatwijuka,W, & Kalinda, P. using Firm Life-Cycle Theoretical Perspective we carried out a study on Firm Age and Financial Performance of Private Limited Companies which was published in 2023 With co-authors, Aryatwijuka, Emmanuel,E, Kaggwa, Charles, Mbabazi,O, & Rwakihembo, J., using Competitive Advantage as a Mediator studied Interactive Marketing Practices and Market Performance in Soft Drinks Industry which was published in 2023. M., Rubalema,A., Kalinda P., Oceng, P., Emmanuel, E., & Rwakihembo, J., we studied Information and Communication Technologies and Financial Management of Secondary Schools in Greater Bushenyi which was published in 2023. M., Emmanuel, E., Kagwa, C., & Alija, R., we studied Collaborative Efforts by a University, Government and Agricultural Cooperatives (ACS) to Develop a Credit Facilitation Tool: Evidence from Kamwenge and Sheema Districts in Uganda which was published in 2023. With co-authors, Amanyire,A., Rwambale,K,M., Mbabazi,M.G., Muhumuza,G., we investigated Financial Performance of NGOs using Managerial Competences as a predictor which was published in 2024. With co-authors, Thomas, S., Rwambale,K.,Tibihikirra,P., & Niwaha,M., we studied Electronic Marketing and Customer Loyalty of Small and Medium Enterprises in Rwenzori Region which was published in 2024 With co-authors, Kaheeru,R.,  Rwambale,K.M., Ahabyoona, & F., Amanyire,A. we studied Capacity Building and Organisational Performance in local government context, Kasese district which was published in 2024

With co-applicants,  Professor Louise Ackers, Dr Kimera Emmanuel, Dr Nizeyimana Pamela,  Dr Kataike Joanita and Dr Ahabyoona Faith, we won one international Grant with British Academy still ongoing till April 2026 titled “Writing For Research and Researcher Capacity-Building in Regional University Contexts (Mountains of the Moon University, Uganda and the University of Salford, UK) (I WW 2 3 \ 1 0 0 4 8 1)” With co-applicants, Mr Akugizibwe Moses, Dr Muhangi Bernard, won Research and Innovation Fund II (MMU-RIF II, 2024-2025) which is under implementation I Initiated and registered with local government (Reg. No.1132) a Community-Based- Organization named “New Education Vision Bugamba” (NEVB) which among others has supported a number of youths to continue with their education at primary and secondary levels. The outputs for NEVB are felt at Kashekure primary school, Kigando primary school and St Joseph’s Care Nursery School in Rwampara District; St Peters secondary school Katukuru, Mbarara District and St Raphael Secondary school, Isingiro District. Core activities have been paying fees for the academic brilliant students who are economically disadvantaged and also in learner motivation awarding the best pupils completing p.7

Karuhanga Nathan, PhD student still ongoing I have so far supervised 8 postgraduate research students specializing in Marketing, Procurement, human resource and business and institutional management. I have supported over 87 bachelors’ students research doing Bachelor of business administration and Bachelor of Commerce. I have also supported 16 diploma students in the area of accounting and finance, public administration and management, records and information management
